The Guide to USA Made Hunting Gear for Mobile Whitetail Deer Hunters

Introduction

Picture this, your loaded up with all of your gear headed into some public land chasing after the buck you have been targeting for 2 years now. You have your new Temu hunting backpack on, walking through heavy brush to slip into the kill spot you have had mapped out for months. You brush past a sharp limb , and you hear a quick ** RIPPPPP**. There goes the one essential piece of gear that everyone relies on in the deer woods.

Now, since you skimped out on buying something of quality, you are now scrambling around like a mad man deciding what the hell to do. Your piece of crap hunting back just failed on you during the moment you needed everything to go right. This pitfall has occurred to all of us at least once, or at least it has for me. Many times, including other pieces of gear like tree stands, hunting saddles, pouches, etc.

With the rise of mobile hunting, the majority of brands skimp out on quality and focus on maximizing their profits utilizing overseas manufacturing. They are essentially the Temu of the outdoors.

Let's define mobile hunting real quick. Mobile hunting is a style of hunting whitetail deer while being lightweight, mobile, and versatile to adapt to any situation on the fly. It involves lightweight portable setups for primarily the public land hunter or to adjust to deer patterns with ease.

Mobile hunting has exploded in popularity, with saddles and lightweight tree stands. becoming staples for hunters chasing deer on public land. With this explosion in popularity, we have the majority of brands that sell overseas made gear comprising on quality and integrity. In this guide of USA made hunting gear, we will discuss the following down below.

Benefits of Supporting USA Made Hunting Companies

Why Choose American Made Gear for Mobile Hunting?

The very first reason that comes to mind to support American made companies that make USA made gear is for the quality and durability. Here at BullPath, we are USA made and sourced which means we also use American sourced materials for all of our products. This ensures stricter standards in using premium materials that withstand the weather and abuse we typically see out in the field when hunting. Knowing that American made gear is produced at a higher quality standard than imports, you will be more confident in the gear you purchase. The last thing you want to do is waste your hard earned money on a piece of crap that fails on you.

Also, the economic and community impact is vital for our country. Buying USA made supports local jobs and circulates the dollars back into our own economy. Let me give you an example how this works. You buy gear from me and then in return I send the gear off to you. A percentage of that money that I have made from you will stay in my own local economy paying city tax and employee wages for my business. Another percentage of that money, then gets distributed to my vendors, so I can buy the material I need to make the gear. That in return, helps fund their operations and keeps their wages for their employees. It's a healthy revolving cycle where we all support one another. You supporting USA made business has a trickle effect that also supports a ton of other companies you will never hear about. This keeps family businesses alive, and that what we need in this country to thrive.

There is a ton of other benefits I can touch on, but there is one that either makes or breaks a business. That is customer support. I can't speak for others , but I assure you if you were to ask any one of our customers how our support team is, they will tell you that we do a good job. From complaints, to solving an issue, or just being able to talk to me about anything, we are here. There's nothing better than being able to talk to a companies owner or being able to solve an issue over the phone with someone that speaks the same language. American companies that uses overseas manufacturing is not able to do that. If they outsourced their products to be made elsewhere, its only a matter of time before they offshore their customer support.

The BullPath pack is designed specifically for mobile hunters that need to carry in platforms, sticks, and/or a tree stand. It also is designed to quickly access important gear on the fly on the outside of the pack with its external zipper and outside molle to attach an additional pouch such as the BullPak.  Here are the features for that pack.

El Toro Saddle

If you are wanting to saddle hunt on public land to be more mobile and versatile, you will need a saddle to do so. The El Torro saddle is a premium single panel hunting saddle, designed for simplicity and versatility. This will keep you mobile, lightweight, and extremely effective to get onto the mature buck you are after.

One of the biggest downfalls for any hunting saddle is the restrictive nature when wearing the saddle into the woods. With the El Torro, it has a traverse mode that can be folded up while wearing to secure the leg straps without having them on and minimizes the footprint on your body. This allows you to be way more mobile and not restricted at all to get through the thick brush or crossing obstructed areas with ease. Once you are at your hunting tree, simply deploy the El Torro out of the traverse mode and put on the leg straps. This reduces the amount of time setting up at a tree and you don't have to pack in or out your hunting saddle.

  • Traverse mode, so you can walk in with your saddle without feeling like it's dragging you down.
  • Single panel for simplicity and less fidget factor.
  • Teufelburger rope bridge, gives you complete control when tilting in the saddle.
  • Gives you access to shoot 360 degrees around the tree.

BullPak X

To be able to carry accessories and have them on your saddle or the outside of a hunting pack, you need a modular pouch. The BullPak X is a premium zippered pouch that has stretch pockets to be able to stuff gear into without the restrictive nature of a regular fabric zipper. Also with its connection system on the back, you can literally attach it to almost anything. I personally run this pouch underneath my Lonewolf .5 tree stand and on all of my packs.

  • Connection system that attaches the pouch to literally anything.
  • Stretch pockets that allows over stuffing and ease of access.
  • Duel layer construction for integrity. (It doesn't flop around).
  • Very popular amongst tree stand users and hunting saddles.

"Absolutely awesome craftsmanship! Makes for an outstanding zippered rope pouch! Made in the USA!.

My good friend Ben said:

"I’ve owned a handful of single panel saddles over the past few years, including some custom made, and the Bullpath Gear Praxis is by far the most comfortable single panel saddle I’ve sat in. I get zero hip pinch, it’s easy to adjust and get comfortable in, and the quality is top notch. You won’t be disappointed!"

Josh Ross from Michigan had to say this about the Moose Chest Rig:

"The Bullpath Moose chest rig isn’t polite. It doesn’t ask permission. It shows up ready for work and dares the day to test it. This thing is pure, unapologetic capability strapped to your chest, and it absolutely rules.
First off, the versatility is second to none. You can load it up for hard training, range days, or general “things might get spicy” preparedness, then turn around and take it straight into the backcountry chasing moose without changing a damn thing. Binoculars, ammo, tools, GPS, snacks, whatever keeps you dangerous and functional—it all fits, stays organized, and is instantly accessible. No digging. No fumbling. No nonsense.
Comfort-wise, the Moose punches way above its weight. It rides high and tight, doesn’t bounce when you’re moving fast, and doesn’t turn into a torture device after hours of wear. Whether you’re bushwhacking through timber, hiking miles of rough terrain, or standing around waiting for something to happen, it stays exactly where it should.
Build quality? Absolutely bombproof. This rig feels like it was designed by someone who hates gear failure with a personal vendetta. Thick materials, solid stitching, and zero weak points. It’s the kind of setup you trust and depend on.
And let’s be honest—there’s a certain confidence that comes with wearing something this dialed. It’s the “ready for chaos, but also ready to go fill a freezer” vibe. One minute you’re prepared for worst-case scenarios, the next you’re glassing a ridgeline looking for antlers. If the world stays calm, great—you’re hunting. If it doesn’t, also great—you’re already set to take out commies.

Wolverines approved!"

My Own Story

Everything that has been created by us is actual gear I use throughout the entire year. I got tired trying to find the specific gear that never met my needs when hunting, especially if I wanted to be efficient and effective. Every piece of gear does just that for me.

For my entire life, I was stuck using Walmart tree stands that were bulky and heavy and public land to hunt on. It was not practical and that combination does not mix well. I was only able to harvest 1 doe for years with that setup. Eventually I discovered lightweight hunting and decided to make my own gear to fill the gap of what I wanted, and that was to have lightweight versatile gear that was 100% USA made. The following year after switching from shitty tree stands to American made mobile hunting setups, I filled up my 1 buck tag and 2 doe tags. I was and still am proud of that. Not only was I able to bounce from spot to spot effectively, I also learned a ton about how deer move through the woods from the encounters I was having. It was a new world that opened up for me, and I believe USA mobile hunting setups are the only way to go if you hunt whitetail deer, especially if you hunt on public land.

  • I was stuck using heavy tree stands with only hunting public land.
  • I started to make my own USA made mobile hunting gear to my specs.
  • I was able to bounce around on public land at any given time without much effort because of the lightweight versatile gear.
  • I started to actually harvest deer because of mobile hunting setups that were designed for public land use.
  • I fell in love with hunting.

Challenges of Overseas Manufacturing for Hunting Gear

Drawbacks of Imported Gear: What Mobile Hunters Need to Know

It's all a fassad. These companies masquerade patriotism and quality but in reality the American economy and you personally take the brunt force of the hit. Have you looked around how jobs have became horrible, more corporate, less pay, no morals, etc? Every single company within the hunting industry ( actually every business in America ) that does not have their roots in America, does not care about the common man. They care for their bottom line. If that means shipping production overseas so they can grow their profit margins, then they will. They may care for the support they provide or how their products look, but they don't care for the most basic necessity for any country in the world, and that is providing a meaningful career. That is exactly why our economy is the way it is. Nothing means anything anymore, we lost the ability to be self sufficient, all at the expense of money.

There is no pride holding a piece of gear that was produced in a different country by slave labor. There may be a fizz you get in your stomach from a product that a company markets well, but at the end of the day it holds literal no value. Mass produced, at the expense of the American man, at the expense of exploiting slaves to make the gear, for you to receive something that is cheaper and lesser quality.

I highly suggest start voting with your own dollars. Everyone has power and influence, and it all comes back to two things. That's money and self sufficiency. Stop buying from these businesses that do not have your best interest in mind and buy from businesses that actually contribute to our society.

Last thing I'll talk about imported gear, is that they generally are built with less quality compared to someone that takes the pride of producing their gear in America. We have plenty of torture test videos of us trying to break our gear. We can't. That's because we use the most expensive American textiles and plastics money can produce. This isn't for us, it's for anyone that has the same vision of the future of America. If you take a duffel that is made from a popular brand such as Nike, and stood ours next to it to see which one would endure the most abuse, it would be ours ten fold. This isn't about making a quick sale. It's about providing something will literally last generations. It's actually a very dumb business model on my end, but I love my country too much to do anything else. Anything else imported from different countries that mass produce at a global scale like China, India, Pakistan, etc, would not compete with us when it comes to longevity and quality.
